I want to apologize to all of you who rely on the aac+ stream to listen in. My encoder has been less than reliable so I'm working to build a new dedicated encoder machine and should hopefully have it up and running tonight. In the meantime, the mp3 streams should be working fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.

edit: The new aac+ encoder is now in place and working properly. Hopefully this will be a bit more reliable.

I just got word that Armitunes listener Seth has just set up two new relays; a 50 slot MP3 and a 50 slot AAC+!!! You can access the new relays using the "Click to Listen" button up top. Everyone please remember to thank Seth if you get a chance for helping A.D. to continue to grow!

Also, Armitunes will be hopefully receiving a new high speed fiber optic Internet connection on Monday the 12th. This should mean vastly improved web page speed as well as increased stability in the relays. Unfortunately the site and stream will be unavailable during the transition.

Please Note: I have gone through a lot of the Albums and single files and renamed/sorted them. Because some of the names are now different, some of you may not be able to request the tracks from your Favorite Songs window. If this is the case, you can delete it from your Favorites, request the song through the normal search engine and re-add it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

First of all I'd like to apologize for the site being down last night. I was upgrading some software on the server and it caused an incompatability with the streamer that I didn't realize until the next morning.

Now for the good news. The server has been upgraded with twin 320GB disks in a RAID-1 configuration. This will allow us to continue to grow our song library and also re-enable to FTP site for contributions. I'm currently configuring the filesystems and will begin testing and copying data tonight. This may require one or two reboots to ensure the redundancy is working properly. Stay tuned for further announcements and thanks for your continued patience and support!
