Can't really use the Winamp-app as it sucked my monthly 10GB dry in a matter of hours just by starting it. Not sure why, but it was horrendous to see. *shivers*
So, any tips on a good app for listening to streamed radio on the phone? |

If you are looking to stream Armitunes, then there is an app for that. I just don't know how much data it consumes. For anime music, and I believe Armi is listed on this one, It's called Anime Radio and should be on Google Play. I haven't tried it so I don't know the data consumption on this one either, sorry. I also use rad.io for the current music I am listening to; that is when I am not listening to it via my computer. It is ok with consumption (I think), but I usually try to do any streaming via wi-fi. TuneIn is another one but I have not tried it. I think you can get ShoutCast via an app, but not sure either. Not sure if this is much help, but you can always just search your app store to see some of the top rated apps and just read the reviews and info and make an informed decision. Happy Listening. ^_^ ...Sailor Moon says.... you can change the world one A.R.K. at a time. ^_^ |

I use XiiaLive
The UI is a bit old, but it works well. |

For android phones, here is the last forum
http://www.armitunes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=1&showtopic=51699&highlight=ANDROID To understand how much data is used while streaming http://www.armitunes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=11225&mode=&show=5&page=2 Btw, I use the aha app now because it supports Honda Link. Armitunes automatically starts playing when I start my car and stops when I turn off the car. Its had some problems lately though. I had to use BSPlayer again this week. |
