During the Rampage of Haruhi of Suzumiva, the endless summer ends after Kyon finishes his homework. According to this theory, Kyon, the God, was keeping the summer going until he felt ready to return to school. He even says at one point,"My summer can't be over until I finish it!"
[/p]

More canon would be that Haruhi's feelings for one of the few fully instanced humans she pulled into her sharded universe had evolved to the point where her subconscious divinity was now willing to do things like loop reality to satisfy Kyon's expressed need to finish his homework.

In Shintoism, they may consider Haruhi as a god.

Personally I don't immediately consider someone as a god no matter what powers they have.

My point is..
Haruhi isn't a god.
There maybe a reason why she had those powers.

I've always thought to be careful.. because that never happens in rel life.
Totoro.. that is, may not exist.

and yep, just read the Conspiracy Theory about it.

maybe Miyazaki was trying to Euphemise such a horrible story..
or maybe the Totoros are going to claim their sick mom.

but yeah,

“No need to be alarmed. There is absolutely no truth or configuration that Totoros are the Gods of Death or that Mei is dead in My neighbor Totoro.” – said Studio Ghibli

as they said those words.. but is it?

Given Ghibli has a long tradition of continuing the plot in the credits, coupled with the Totoro credits detailing a pregnant mom followed by the girls dealing with a little brother who clearly sees - and annoys - them, its a little hard to believe the death spirit thesis.

I can see the contemporaneous news stories maybe having an influence on Miyazaki's choice of setting though. For instance if he saw news media of that region that looking archaic and pretty, he might have thought, 'I'll paint that'. But that's about as far as I can buy into the theory.

Apparently my role on these threads is to be a nay-sayer?

I wonder why there is a teacher-student relationship theme in Card Captor Sakura not less than thrice..

Actually there are other themes in card captor sakura shown more than thrice..

Just like having a deceased partner..
It isn't just Fujitaka and Nadeshiko..

I've had this in mind since I've watched it as a kid..
