Getting it! Minecraft looks epic... and the Alpha is only 13 bucks or so... How active is the server? I mean, heck, if there is even one other person on I'm fine with it, I just don't want to be the ONLY one on every time

There has been 6 or 7 people on it consistently all day this weekend. During weekdays they come on in the evenings. We've had some griefers already so I'm making frequent automatic backups of the world now.

It's giving me a weird error when I try to join. I go to multiplayer and type it in then it says Joining, Logging In,

Connection Lost

Internal exception: Java.Net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed

I looked this up on google and it says that it's something about Server side not accepting me joining

nvm, it was Notch working on the servers. I'm online now and wandering around lookin at stuff trying to find me a nice plot to build a home

Cool, glad it's working. One thing is if the client crashes frequently, try reducing the view distance from Far to Normal (or lower). That solved a lot of my problems. Hope they fix a lot of these bugs in the Beta


I'm going to try and add some additional mods to the server shortly, including one to keep it daytime all the time. I'll also make ArmiTunes members VIPs on the server. Just let me know your in-game name here in the thread

Honestly though, on the AD server I mainly just run to my base and mess around with water powered contraptions... Speaking of which, I need to check it out, I bet someone has trashed it though >.>
